The
Brief
A new build project. The client wanted a discreet plasma based
home theatre with audio distribution throughout the home.

Audio7 Solution
Our team liaised with on-site contractors meaning the client
could relax in the knowledge that his requirements were being
met to and excellent standard. From initial briefing, to producing
cabling diagrams, to the hand over and product training, the
client was well informed.
Audio distribution was handled by an Imerge Soundserver system,
in ceiling speakers were used throughout. The home theatre was
a Pioneer plasma screen with Linn Classik Movie system supplying
the images and amplification… a virtually invisible system.
The Imerge was hard wired to client units for easy, reliable
access to the music library. All the product is hidden in a
central location where audio and video is controlled and distributed
to 8 rooms throughout the house. |

What
was different?
The great thing about new build projects is how easy it is to
run the cables! Visible cables were kept to an absolute minimum.
Spec-ing a hole to be cut in a granite work-surface shipped
from Italy was a little nerve wracking but eh end result was
very much worth it. |

What
we used...

Sonance Ellipse
The Ellipse 2.0 LCR raises the bar on In-Ceiling Home Theater
speaker performance. Featuring Sonance's proprietary SonicEye
technology, the Ellipse 2.0 LCR adds new dampening system
for increased acoustical clarity. The baffle features a dampening
pad to absorb reflections generated by the midrange, increasing
the sound quality of the speaker!

B&W PV1
At one time, subwoofers that had any pretentions to good
performance were big and ugly. Later, as engineers got to
grips with designing robust drivers that could withstand high
levels of electronic equalisation, they became small and a
little less ugly. Yes, there were subwoofers that paid lip
service to styling, but generally their performance was compromised.
No more. The PV1, although elegant and stylish, owes its curved
shape to sound engineering principles - those of a pressure
vessel, from which the initials in the name derive.
