The
Brief
Home theatre system with audio distribution. A newly converted
lower ground floor “family room” with a dedicated
media cupboard that could be locked to restrict access by
children.
Audio7 Solution
The family room consisted of a Pioneer plasma with an M&K
sub/sat speaker package. All cables were chased into the walls
for a smart clean finish. An Imerge Soundserver allowed a central
storage facility for music and the facility to create playlists
that could be distributed throughout the house through a Linn
Intersekt system controlled throughout the home via control
pads fitted into the walls.
All the hardware was stored in a media rack with a lockable
door except a Denon DVD so that disks could be changed without
access to the cupboard. From the core rack video sources are
fed around the home enabling viewing and control of Sky, Sky+,
DVD and the Imerge Soundserver from any TV in the home. The
entire system could be controlled by a fully programmed Philips
Pronto remote control working IF (infra-red) and RF (radio frequency)
so that the media cupboard door could be shut and the equipment
still operated. |

What
was different?
This was a nice system to work on. Because everything was shut
away in a cupboard aesthetics did not really have to be considered
too much and so we could spec the items that we believed would
meet the brief requirements best. |

Expandable source and control signal distribution for homes,
